High cost of books for education!

There s a half a dozen used book sites if you use the search engine.

When I went to college, thay had used books for sale in the student union bookstore for most classes.

abesbooks.com alibris.com are a couple of sites for general used books as my memory serves me...just add the www. in front of those...You could sell them back at end of classes, but I kept mine for reference. Now,I ve lost them, and wouldn t mind having them back in my personal library shelf...

If you walked down Flora Fountain you could pick up second hand books of any kind. But BMC got rid of those guys. I think the new bookstore chains had something to do with that drive.

check out http://www.nap.edu/ for FREE eBook versions of many college textbooks.

They have PDF and "read online" versions available for all of the titles I checked. (actually, For only a marketable e-mail address for spam :p )

If this is as it appears to be I'll have much to thank you for. I was most certainly not looking forward to the expense of my university textbooks and had vowed to find free alternatives. Having a near monopoly against required educational products is ridiculous.

TONED ARMZ!

What many students do is order used books from Amazon and return them after they use them.
