The basic premise of the scene I'm struggling with is MMF in a BDSM type dungeon with one of the men in shackles.

I need access to both sides of his body, so he'd need to be in the center of the room, right?

Not quite an area I would claim any expertise to however your descriptive is brief a few things come to mind. I am sure the Big Guns of Lit in regards to Dungeons won't be far behind this and will help you to get your story as authentic as possible.

Might be a good idea to be a little more specific. Are the shackles just on the ankles in your story. Do you envisage physical restraint of the wrists as well. Loose or fixed range of movement etc. Time frame of story as shackles can be made of a range of materials. From the hard metal leg iron style / cuffs through to rope, leather and chains . As you can see in the picture above its just rope. Simply fixed to a cross beam of sorts . To take a full body weight however quite different rigging might be required.

A few more details from you I know will assist future posters.

Thank you for your help! Elvis in bondage... It does help me try to imagine what my characters are asking for.

Bound by both wrists and ankles. Fixed range of movement I believe. Modern time. I do need it to take full body weight. Also, I need some ideas for a gag, other than the ball, as well as some risk factors for the types of gags.

I do want the scene to be authentic and very erotic. The woman in the scene is very aroused by the idea of this particular man in shackles. I'm picturing a man who obviously works out and takes care of his body. I'm not very good at estimating but I think he's about 6'2 and 250 lbs. He exudes both strength and power, but also knows he's gorgeous. He came to the party dressed as Adonis.

My intention to reach the level of eroticism I want and the believability I need (since I have no experience) is to read some of the threads on the forum and a few of the stories in the BDSM category.

Geoff Sir has replied the rest you will have to research. Try 'Google' for "BDSM dungeon ' as a starting point. Make sure 'safe search' is off if you are in the habit of using it. Try the Images as well as Web Sections. It will throw up a huge amount of porn. Which frankly at such short notice is where your information will be. If the pictures that come up are drawn use common sense as to whether you think what is portrayed is humanly attainable. Though if realism is not as issue just take the obvious imagery for your story. Lets face it , your writing adult fiction as I am told the majority will skirt past the room/dungeon decor to the genitals of the characters in quite a pace. ( okay I am a bit cynical .....smiles).
