Hiya Jix... :)

I'm reading his short stores naw and his crime ones are written like that. Sorry you're so lonely. Hope we can help easy the sadness.

Yes I have read Bloch, I just love the feel of noir. I love James Ellroy, he writes great noir.

Thanks for being so nice, I'm just counting the days till he's back. Wait till he sees he's now officially Big Slick...:D

It's very difficult to write that way. It seems so stilted, but it's powerful. I love thos eold film noir movies. Ever try talking like that? Impossible.

I'm mostly into classic Sci-fi, but every once in a while I branch out. Martin Cruz Smith writes excellent murder mysteries. They keep you guessing until the end, then it all fits perfectly together. and so much better than most of the crap out there now, James Patterson and all that.

I love horror and mysteries...I have subscribed to "Alfred Hitchcock's Mystery Magazine" & "Ellery Queen's Mystery Magazine" since I was 16.

In horror I love Bentley Little and early Stephen King...his new stuff leaves me cold.

I'm sorry I hijacked ricsmis...:rose:

I tend to be particular in what I watch. I do like sci fi and the old comedies ie Abbott and Costello

Abbott and Costello, Phil Silvers, Marx brothers they all rock. I love the Abbott and Costello where they take a rocket to Mars and end up in New orleans at Mardi Gras. Since I'm from Louisiana that is my favorite one of theirs.

My all time favorite 3 Stooges quote: 'If at first you don't succeed, kep on sucking until you do suck seed.' That aplies in so many situations. In that short Curly was eating an orange. But it applies in so many other situations, wouldn't you agree ladies?
