I really wanted to read a story about betrayal that was told from the wife's point of view, you know? But I didn't want a generic story full of meaningless sex and gratuitous humiliation. I really wanted a story that worked on the characters' feelings, the reasons why everything is happening, I wanted it to have good dialog and a good development. I'm a bit tired of the same old stories with masks and few different things.

Before anyone leaps into this discussion with the traditional AH greeting of "you're in the wrong place!", I advised the OP to post her request here (instead of just Story Feedback). I thought she'd be better off asking at the source instead of hoping for a response from readers.

Greetings Ivana12. If you're looking for loving wife stories, I suggest you not go by scores alone. I don't read that category and don't write for it any longer. I never wrote about it very much. It just isn't my cup of tea (or any other fluid). :) @theWollstonecraftWoman writes in that category, but I don't think I've seen her on here today.

Tags are your friend. Not all cheating stories are in LW; almost all of my stories involve infidelity, for example, but almost none are posted there.

OP, do a story tags search for what you're looking for, then sift through.

Betrayal of the wife, by the wife, or either, out of curiosity?

If you want feeling and reasons I think I'm not too out of line suggesting you peruse the works of @NoTalentHack.

You might try my latest offering:
Hot Wife-ing Gone Wrong
A reluctant couple find it isn't for everyone.

It's 7.7K words in Loving Wives, and basically about a reluctant wife who agrees to do her husband's hot wife wish as a birthday present, but she does NOT want them to become swingers or for him to get with another woman. And when she finds out he did, "beware the wrath of a woman scorned."

It's currently rated 3.34 in Loving Wives, which for me is rather well received. It's not told from the wife's POV. But you might like it.

This sounds like a good idea for a story Ivana!

I don't know if what I write will be what you're looking for or not. I write from the husband's point of, the woman's, sometimes 3rd person. I have one I've written but never published that was from the bulls point of view.

I have several stories told from the wife's first-person POV, and the closest I have isn't really about a husband's betrayal. It's about the husband needing more sex from his wife as they get older, and she finally goes for hormone treatments. It's a "Be careful what you wish for", as her husband gets more than he bargained for.

Raging Hormones
Wife talks to her husband about their sex needs.

I'll self-promote and offer my story Barn Dance. It meets your POV and other requirements, but be aware the story contains elements of power exchange and D/s -- all safe, sane, and consensual.

His user name is quite the misnomer... IMHO...
Aw, you guys. If my head gets any bigger, my glasses won't fit. :D

To the OP, while I rarely write from the female POV, I do my best to make sure, at least in most stories, that the wife's motivations and reasons are clear, realistic, and well-explored. Mostly.

Here are some that might at least partially fit the bill (male first-person, unless otherwise indicated):

Also-Ran - a years-long emotional affair is discovered after the death of the wife's ex-boyfriend.
Before We Talked - a 750 word meta-prequel to all the "Honey, We Need To Talk" stories on the site. Wife's POV.
Funeral Dirge for a Fairytale - Long story from the wife's POV about her sporadic affair with her toxic first love behind her husband's back throughout almost their entire relationship, the affair's discovery, and the aftermath. Technically a sequel to another story (the husband's POV discovery of the affair) but can be read standalone. Themes of addiction and compulsion, so CW there.
Indulgences - Maybe not quite what you're looking for, but very much the wife's show. Less about the betrayal and what she's willing to do to restore trust, it's a loopy meditation on how little the unfaithful partner can actually do to make amends or rebuild trust, and the leap of faith required by the injured spouse.
No Place to Go - A "letter from the dead wife" story, which lays out what she did and why she did it, leaving the husband to pick his way through the wreckage with her lawyer's help.
The Voice of Experience - A veteran adulteress takes a woman contemplating an extramarital fling under her wing. Two woman talking in a diner, also with themes of addiction and compulsion.
Well-Intentioned - Young man moves to a new neighborhood, learns his hot neighbor is having an affair. Lots of exploration of the whys of that, but still from his POV. Might not be quite what you're looking for.
Why She Cheated - Two strangers meet in a bar, one married and one not. Male POV, front-loaded with a pretty fair amount of sex, but followed with a long discussion about... well, see title.
You Could Have Stayed - Ex-husband's POV, exploring what went wrong and how to move forward over seven conversations, each starting with the phrase "You could have stayed."

Also working on one right now that might make it into Crime and Punishment called "Barriers to Reentry," about a third date between a divorced woman who carried on a multi-year affair (the POV character) and a convicted felon-turned-community leader as they tell each other about their pasts and decide whether to move forward with their romantic relationship. It's about what society is willing to forgive versus what it's not, and the power of rehabilitation and restorative justice versus punitive justice, the wisdom (or not) of "cheaters always cheat/leopards never change their spots," etc.

Oh! Another recommendation. KitDeLuca164 writes LW stories from the woman's POV, often with a conclusion that's profoundly unsatisfying for the BTB or even RAAC crowds there. Maybe check her out, too. She wrote Prologue to a Problem, a 750 word story that she later fleshed out into a longer take, so that's a pretty good place to start.

If you're just looking for female POV stories, I write for the fun, sharing, Loving Wives crowd (only about half of them appreciate it), and I have several others exclusively from the wife's first-person POV:

"The Maneater"
A Barbie-wife/anti-heroine learned to control men.
This is 22K words from the swinger wife's POV, about an aggressively strong woman who manipulates the men around her. The only one she can't manipulate is her husband (which is why she wants him, because he doesn't easily fall for her tricks).

"The Teacher -- 750 Words"
Shy wife learned her husband is cheating.
This is a short intro to what I hope to turn into a longer story in the future. It's told from the POV of the older swinger neighbor wife, talking to the younger wife about the younger one's cheating husband. So, this is probably what the OP is looking for, but I haven't fleshed it out into the longer version yet.

My Yoga series is about a wife going to a "special" sex-filled evening yoga class, and has two sequels (original was husband's POV):
Unique Rewards of Yoga - Her Story
Wife attends sex-filled late-night yoga class for husbands.
This is 12K words from the wife's POV about why and what she felt when doing it. Basically, she went to the class (without her husband), where the women just got into position and the men did them for as much as each woman wanted. The anonymous video she got of herself afterwards doing it was to be a present for her husband. The story builds her whole thought process when deciding to do it and includes the aftermath when her husband sees it.

Unique Rewards of Yoga - Beginnings
A Yoga instructor's way to help clients have safe, sexy fun.
This is 8.6K words told from the female yoga instructor's POV about why and how she set up the sex sessions.

The only other one I have from a wife's POV is:
"I'll Handle It - 750 Words"
A couple has their own way of communicating.
This was a light-hearted tale of a stay-at-home wife who doesn't see sex as anything special, and she just uses it with repairmen as she feels like to manage her household budget and get things done cheaply around the house. The husband grudgingly understands her.
