I learned today that the phrase "puppet master" is very offensive to Jewish sensibilities. It's an anti-Semitic term, according to people who know about these things.

I was, quite frankly, very surprised to learn this.

A quick perusal of the GB search function pulls up 162 separate usages of that anti-Semitic term here. Usage is all over the political spectrum here, too, mainly on the right (as one might expect) but a few left-leaning folks as well. Hell, even Miles, a purported Jew, used it once.

Since you two guys appear to be the most easily offended by stuff even marginally derogatory to All Things Jewish, I'm curious why this has never been addressed here by either of you before.

Are you two mellowing in your dotage or just due for a hypersensitivity tuneup?
