I'm not going to express my opinions on the immigration topic tho I have definite opinions. But I do want to say that this thread is completely uncalled for and rude. When did the Ah become a place for starting threads for no other purpose than to criticize and insult someone else's opinions? It's bad enough that it happens to Amicus. Is that what we're all going to do now when we don't agree with someone? That's bullshit and you're wrong to do it.

You starting a thread to call him names simply because you disagree with him is bullshit. You want to disagree with someone, fine. Go ahead. But there's no need to start threads like this simply to be a bitch. There's no cut and dried, black and white answer on some of these issues. Just because his opinion isn't the same as yours doesn't make you superior and make him a racist.

But I also agree with Sophie. It's not OK to start a thread for the mere purpose of chastisement. I've seen it happen a few times on different issues and it always makes my stomach hurt. As a grown-up, I left that kind of behavior back in jr high school. There are more appropriate ways to handle your frustrations with someone, such as an email or a PM. Soph was right when she it was rude, but I'd like to go a step farther and say that it's not just rude to Zeb. It's rude to each person who opens this thread, expecting another bit AH fun and goodness and finding anger and venom.

Move this discussion off the board, please. Have your disagreement in private and please don't stoop to name calling.

I jumped on it because I think you're out of line. Starting threads for the sole purpose of calling someone names and criticizing them is bullshit. It's rude, it's hurtful and it really bothers me. I come to the Ah because I like the people here. I respect their opinions (for the most part). I have good friends here who are like family. It really bothers me that you started this thread. And now not only have you said what you had to say, but you think you need to continue on with it with a whole he said she said behind the scenes report. People have come along and tried to lighten the thread, but you still won't let it go. So, yeah I'm pissed off.
