I finally got round to downloading one of your songs, The Cool Bunch. It's excellent. It reminds me of one of the instrumentals off the first side of Bowie's 'Low' album - but with harder sounding guitars.

I'm going to listen to the other three when I get time to download them.

Have you ever played in a band at all?

Woah!! Thank you Roger :) I didn't think anyone listened to those anymore.

And to answer your question. Yes I played Rhythm Guitar and composed for six years, from 92-98 in a band called Submission.
I dont now though. I miss the gigs though. Nothing came close to the feeling of great sex, than a really good gig.
I'm sure you know all about that :)

Haha! I don't think I've been involved in any gig that was worth turning down great sex for.

Was your band named after the Sex Pistols song?

Oh no, I didn't say I'd turn down great sex for a gig. THAT will never happen :)

Anyways. No, the band wasn't named after the sex pistols song. We just thought it sounded cool when we discussed names. We used to be called Hellhouse Rockers. But decided it sounded kinda lame.

So Submission it was....something like, we submit to music or something, if my memory doesn't betray me :)

I was just thinking

There's a guy on British radio, John Peel, who's in his 60s. He's been around so long that he's pretty much a national institution. He's got very wild and weird tastes in music - he played punk music when none of the other DJs would have it in the house in the late 70s. He also brought Captain Beefheart's music over here from America for the first time.

Anyway - he loves hearing from bands from other countries - Iceland, Germany, Africa, wherever - and he often plays demos on his show. I'm sure he'd love to hear some of your music. He might play it on his show or even invite you over to record one of his world famous John Peel Sessions (everyone from Bowie and Hendrix to The Fall and Sonic Youth have done them).

If you visit this webpage, you can find out more and even listen to his show 10-12 pm (British time), every tuesday, wednesday and thursday night (there's a button you press at the top of the page):

http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio1/djs/peel.shtml

You can email him (but only when he's on air) at: john.peel@bbc.co.uk

Or send stuff to:

Anita, Producer, John Peel Show, Radio 1, Broadcasting House, London, United Kingdom

You might never hear anything back but it's always worth trying.
