Gosh, my "debut" as a porn writer seems a long time ago. It was a heady experience, and I miss it. I remember writing my first story: Feeling my through it, with imagination working overtime, I was in like an erotic fog for two or three weeks because I had never done anything like that. I miss that, too. Then the excitement and trepidation of posting it - here's how I described it to a "fan" later:

To be honest, I was nervous as a virgin about posting this online: It’s the first erotica I had ever written, and I had no idea what to expect. I hoped for a little positive feedback, and feared the reality would be either "dropped in a black hole and never heard from again," or "hearing from creeps whom I would rather have kept their raincoats buttoned.”

Instead, I have received a good number of incredibly inspiring and kind notes like yours. Plus, the story is a hit! It's actually rather intoxicating, and now I must beware of a swelled head.

And then I discovered AH, which was my first experience of on-line socializing (and online political debating ), and that has changed the rhythm of my daily life - I'm not sure if for good or for ill, although the wonderful friends I've made here are an unalloyed blessing.

It's all rather remarkable, enriching and totally surprising. Now it's been a while since I've written anything because I'm preoccupied with a real life academic project, but Roxanne will write again, and experience at least some of what's described above ("some" because there's only one "first time" ).
