On Wednesday, May 1, 2002, Radio Margaritaville will join hundreds of Internet radio stations and channels across America which are shutting off or limiting their music streams in a "Day of Silence."
It's to highlight our concern over the upcoming U.S. Copyright Office ruling on royalty rates that may shut down or bankrupt the vast majority of the nascent Internet radio industry.
We hope you will take the time to contact your Representative in Washington to let them know how you feel regarding this sweeping and reckless move.
Wednesday, Radio Margaritaville listeners will hear a special message regarding this proposed measure. We will resume our regular programming Thursday.
