A British pensioner was being held by police in South Africa today, suspected of being one of America's most wanted criminals.

The family of Derek Bond, 72, who was on a wine-tasting holiday, said that they believed he was the victim of mistaken identity when he was detained two weeks ago regarding a telemarketing scam in the United States."
