So you can.....

quit cluttering my threads with your lack of sence of humor.

I'll bet you won't even think "this" is funny.

See I knew it.....

And yer right - that song was written about me.

Everyone thinks it's about Warren Beaty but - not....

It was me - when I was drinkin' buddies with JT.

Man did we ever party in those days.....

Ya know the words got changed to that - when she wrote it about me - the words were.......

"Your insane"

I was not looking for an appology in the least.

I'm sorry you felt the need to say I'm sorry. (hah!)

I obviously think PC'ism has gone way too far - bu that's just me - all have the individual right to differing opinions.

Stereotypes - though exceptions often exist - are real. Very real. It's my belief that this fact can't be ignored AND I beleive that "it's actually healthy to air that fact," let sterotypes be known.

And the best way to do that - is via humor.

Do I think some humor crosses the line of good taste when involving descriptions of sterotypical behavior as related to where someone is from or what their religion may be or what their skin color is? Sure I do.

But that perception is personal, unique, relative too me - as well.

In the end everyone is not like everyone else - so perceptions differ on infinite subject matter - and understanding that - is the key to squelching the racism that is within us all.

Now - if you put me on ignore - you could not have read that.

I think everyone should put you on ignore you digusting pig.

I am aware of all kinds of tragic travesty.....

wrought upon all kinds of peoples throughout documented history.

None of that awarness squelches my sence of humor - and I don't think it should.

In a world where horrible things occur all the time - humor is the only thing common to all of us - that allows mental healing.

Making light of tradgedy is healing. It's necessary.

Endlessly, seriously grieving - over any tradgedy - no matter how big or how small - is a sickness.

We may have to just agree to disagree on this - I will never see this any other way.

Ya know Lav....

Your thoughts on "garded speach and printed word" mirror the thoughs of many great dictators - like Stalin and Hitler.

I am a die hard free speach advocate - I even work for one. And the people I work for quietly strive for what I might term "extreme diversity." Both in "their" work place and other's. And I'm right with them on this.

You know I produce "talk type" TV shows - most of them are panels.

I work with the programmer's and let's say we have a panel of 6 - well it's got to have a "rainbow" quality to it - and it's got to have a mixture of the sexes - otherwise......

No panel - no show. Again - I'm all for this - I've been working for and with these folks for nearly 20 years now. I would not have been with them If I was philosophically contrary to what they want.

Extreme?

Extreme? Sure.

I find your statement below a bit extreme......

"After reading much philosophy on the impact of words on our culture, it is my opinion that we need to be more careful with our words."

I happen to think the inverse is true - PEOPLE SHOULD LIGHTEN UP!!!!!

It's stick and stones - with a grin and a smile.

Just because you hear something stupid - doesn't mean you should take it seriously.

Stupidity does not equate with seriousness in any way shape or form. In fact - again - the opposite is true.

Stupidity - or the perception of such - should be blown off - not taken seriously.

You didn't like Sam Kinesen - did you?

Done won't egg anymore.

Shit is shit. It eventually decomposes and harmlessly goes away.

I'm done.
