I was on haitus...busy practicing my coitus interruptus in Cancun. However, When I came back to the lit board there was this whole new atmosphere around here. It seems kind of ...well boring actually.
I hadn't seen you posting or blasting folks around here in a while but I am glad to see you doing your lasher thing around here again. I also see that alot of people around here have a hard time taking the punishment that they dish out. What's the deal with that?
I am looking for Dave-73 also. He was always good for keeping things live. At any rate I am thinking about reinstating a period of the dreaded ASSHOLIBILITY. Do you think that I should?

You know even Lasher has the heart enough not to go around day after day putting people down, even if he enjoys it.

Mind you though I tend to agree with you, I miss Lasher and the way that he could always get a "GOOD" conversation going around here.

Lasher please post one of your thought provoking threads so that we can get some real gritty conversation going. I for one miss you.

Yeah Nicole you're probably right. I come here day in and out. Sometimes I don't find one post worth replying too. Although I feel like a Guru trapped inside a really experienced keyboard...I am moving along at a snail's pace merely because I only post when I feel compelled by a good thread or a worthy insult. Any way How the hell have you been? And what is the deal with these weak threads?

Look the weak threads (as you put it) are all part of it, it's just that sometimes, some of us find that we don't have anything to add. I have been trying hard as of late not to post unless I have something to say about that topic, but when all else fails I dive in and have some fun too.

Anyhow I find it works for me. Maybe just maybe if we all beg enough Lasher might post something that has a discussion point of view, something that we can all get involved with. Lasher if you do can it be something besides American politics (I don't know anything about your goverment as you don't about mine).

Lets all see what we can do. Whatdaya think Dee??

Though I could get into a little politics...even though that would be boring. What country are you from and out of curiosity were you innundated with our political scandal regarding Clinton and Lewinsky. President Clinton is the most powerful man in the world you know. What other man can say "Hey, you suck my dick and YOU will be famous!"...Not a one I believe.

There's plenty of "good" threads, if you look around - threads on politics, on the Olympics, on Important Dates...There's more stuff to read, but the quality ratio is the same. You may not want to take the time to read all the new threads, but that's not the fault of the BB.

I've read the "wah wah the board sucks" posts that come up every so often. It bothers me because I care about the site, so I look around trying to find The Problem so I can solve it. As usual, it always looks the same to me as it did last week, last month, two months ago. The board doesn't really change much, qualitatively speaking. The names change, which may be bothersome to someone who's been away a while, but the content stays pretty much the same. There's always been trolls, silliness, flirting, insults, comraderie, hugs, thoughtful discussion.

Lately, we've been growing like a weed. The BB membership has nearly doubled in two months. The increased traffic leads to an increase in the threads and posts, as well as new people. This means that you have more to look through...if you could usually find 3 posts in 9 that interested you, now you'll have to go through 90 to find 30. But they are there, and many of best threads may be started by names you don't know - names you label "dumb newbies", pass over the thread without looking, and miss out on an interesting discussion.

I know I've said it before, and I'll say it again, and still no one will believe me, but the board DOESN'T CHANGE. It's still the same place. And don't automatically assume that the new people are less interesting than the old ones, because they aren't. Try to have an open mind. You'll get out of the board what you put into it. You come to gripe, you'll find things to gripe about. You come to have fun, you'll have fun. Really.

Laurel I'm so sorry if you took that as me saying that there's nothing good on the board as of late, I wasn't saying that at all. There are indeed some good threads going at the moment, I really wasn't saying that, so please accept my apology.

I was trying to say that Lasher has a style all his own, he is one of the few here that when he asks a question or just makes a statement, he does it in a way that it makes you use your mind, he stimulates thoughts in people that don't usually get stimulated. I have tried to do this and end up making a mess of it all, so I just look out for one of his threads instead.

I would love to have my brain stimulated again, that is what I was trying to say. Sorry if anyone was upset by my earlier statement. I couldn't answer earlier as my online time is now limited (have my life here too), but I hope you can forgive me.

Lasher if you see this, please try to understand my earlier post as meaning that you make one use their mind, and I'm not saying that others don't, just that you do it in a way that makes me actually go away and think about what you have said or asked. Please know that I have nothing but respect for you.

I DID. Really I did. And I thought it was a good example of how a fun post can turn into a discussion thread. On this board, you can never tell from the thread titles what goodies may actually be contained inside.

Laurel I agree with you, but I guess since it was my first trip away I was a little disappointed to see that things changed so rapidly. I haven't seen most of the people that I fought with when I first arrived. Believe it or not I had gained respect for them, and I enjoyed reading their responses to some of my rants. I haven't seen Xander, or Angelique, or Dorothy or ToTo. SHit where the hell is that Damned Scarecrow?
