Know what sucks? My little (I guess he's not little anymore huh?) cousin enlisted shortly before I moved out here and since then nobody back home has bothered to tell me a goddamn thing about what's going on with him.

I've asked too, and for some reason never gotten an answer.

My oldest son is a couple of years away from enlistment/draft age. I think I understand how you feel.

My ten year old son mentioned out of the blue the other day that he wondered if he'd be drafted off to war.. children worry and think about things that sometimes we don't really consider from them.
