i tried some maker's mark last night at my favorite watering hole. in fact, i tried several of them to make sure that my opinions were based on a fair sampling.

gotta give it an a+. a damn fine, honest to god sippin' whiskey. i ordered the first shot in a snifter and just sipped and enjoyed it. i tried the next (few) with a splash. i put it in my top five but i've still gotta say that old grandad 12 year old bottled in bond 110 proof is still #1. if you've never tried it give it a shot.

Glad you liked it. As with most whiskey a dash of distilled water brings out the flavor - but you don't want to put too much in and water it down.

I've never had Old Grandad so I'm going to try it the next chance I get.
