From today's Times:

"Britain ready for war on two fronts

By Jill Sherman, Richard Ford Philip Webster and Michael Evans

Ministers will quit London if attacked

EMERGENCY bases for the Prime Minister and Whitehall ministries are being set up outside London to keep Britain running in the event of a big terrorist attack in the capital.

Tony Blair, his key officials and senior ministers will be moved to an “alternative seat of government” with nuclear bunkers, top security but also good communications, The Times has learnt."

His definitely lost my vote come the election...

Doesn't it piss you off

that if there ever did flick that nuclear bomb switch that the only people left in the world would be tony blair and george w.bush:eek: ---->PURTY FUCKED UP WORLD if ya ask me:eek:

They could screw each other like they've bee screwing the rest of us.

The bombs are a bit bigger today than in WWII.

Hey ppman, if you get too scared there in Merry Ole, I hear they have some fresh vacancies for "human shields" in Iraq. I'll bet you could get a great rate on a room with a "view."

j/k... but seriously, anyone can leave the most dangerous places anytime they want. I wouldn't enjoy living in New York or DC right now. (actually, I wouldn't enjoy it anytime.) I think Paris or Berlin might be pretty safe these days.

On a side note, don't you think it's interesting how many people blame Bush for the fear people are feeling? Even though those same people know it's Saddam, and not Bush, that might cause them harm. It's kinda like blaming the woman when she is abused by her abusive husband. It's like saying her actions drove him to hit her. But hey, what's a little logic between friends?

enjoy the day.

As far as I know, Saddam Hussein hasn't deployed any forces at the USA.

However, the USA has deployed a huge arsenel towards Iraq and is prepared to Strike first, without UN sanction.

Like a true despot.

When Iraq responds and buildings in the USA start blowing up again, it will indeed be Bush's fault.

Personally, I find it interesting how blase Americans are about bombing others...how they relish the idea of killing another generation of Iraqi children...and as soon as the bodies start swan-diving out of another burning US office tower, splattering on the pavement, you'll blame it on someone else.

You ignorant savages.

Yes, Lance you are the type that would blame the abused wife for driving the abusive husband to strike.

You think the U.S. is striking first. I see the U.S. as striking back.

You make no connection between the WTC attack and Iraq, I do.

You see terrorism as a crime, I see it as an act of war.

You seem to believe we should "hold the snake and hope it doesn't bite." I think we should "shoot the snake so it can't bite."
After all, that Saddam is a snake is proven, and the world is no longer big enough to get out of the snake's striking range.

I can handle that we would see the world from different perspectives. Actually, when I look at the way some people view the world, I'm quite content to have a different perspective.

enjoy the day

I know the difference between our positions...it comes down to my believing in democratic processes and your believing in lynching people on a redneck whim, without evidence.

I am civilized, and you are a bloodthirsty ignorant savage.

Now that's unfair, Lance!

Texan is not a bloodthirsty ignorant savage, Lance. He's something far worse: a cold, calculating demagogue who skillfully plays upon the passions and prejudices of bloodthirsty ignorant savages.

Have a nice day.

That's funny.

You have become a waste of breath. I just wish that you'd stop following me around from thread to thread. Maybe you're not actually doing that. You are online so much that you may actually be posting to ALL the threads. No biggy, your life is what you make of it.

You know, you may be right...he perhaps is smart enough to know the difference... and promote American Despotism anyway.

If so, my apologies, Texan.

You're an intelligent, bloodthirsty savage.

Your apology is accepted. I knew you'd come around.

You always say the same thing everytime someone steps up to point out your narrow minded warpig facist outlook.

Hot damn, Lance has lost his "cool." He's not in "control." He's resorted to screaming names at me.....

It's ok, Lance.... take a break from Lit if you can't handle the stress. At least I think that's what you tell everyone else once you've pushed them to losing control of their emotions....
