We're under a tornado watch until around seven this evening, but are under a warning right now, with a tornado on the ground about twenty miles south of here.

I really need to move somewhere else.

Shouldn't you be "seeking immediate shelter"? :rose:

As someone who lives not too far north of you, I understand the fascination/frustration with this kind of weather. I usually stay online until I lose power. :D

Please be safe, girl. :)

CLOUDY

In your case keep an eye out for houses falling from the sky.

You know the drill.

Be safe.

Last time we had a tornado here in the Toronto area was about 25 years ago.

Just saying'. ;)

On the other hand, we did get over six feet of snow this winter.

Heh, if that tornado gets any closer, it will expedite your move to "somewhere else." :D This area has been under two warnings already--the atmosphere can get really pissy this time of year. Hope you have a safe place to go.

Tornados 20 miles north of here, and 700+ lightning strikes in just the past hour.

Did I mention I want to go back to Florida?

You'd rather deal with hurricanes?

Id much rather deal with hurricanes.

I've built condos that can withstand 200+ mph winds. The right storm shutters and such and hurricanes are not an issue. And the storms have a more dramatic oomph. Its been raining for the last 4 hours and none of it more than a brisk drizzle. I want thunder and wind and something that reminds me why its called "a force of nature"

Its headed your way, I promise, unless it veers off between here and there. At one point, it was raining so hard that I couldn't see the house across the street through the rain, and the thunder was loud enough to rattle stuff in the cabinets.

Come to Pa.

I'll cook northern style for you.

I'm not sure this delicate southern flower could handle y'all's winters, but I'll be up there eventually, I promise.

(will you cooked stuffed mangos for me?)

Your thick skin will survive.

Stuffed mangos and pierogies. You can have a couple two tree of them. Sounds good, haina?

Yeah, I heard about the big storms (was surprised to hear of Atlanta? Just weird because I never considered Georgia a tornado zone). I've been in four(?) maybe more tornadoes in my life and they are freaky. Funny thing about tornadoes? I always win raffles during them. (true - lol - but it's an aside. Although, some advice, Cloudy? Buy a lottery ticket).

I hate twisters. You always know they are coming because the atmosphere turns this freaky green colour and the air turns dead before the hail. It' totally makes me run for the basement these days.

On a lighter note, I was watching the news of floods over on this side of the pond and I was telling Lauren that when I was a kid? Storms never, never freaked me out. An ice storm? No problem because I'd just bring out my skates and get to skate to school. A flood? FANTASTIC! I get to swim to school. A tornado? Well, that was THE prize because it meant I would meet munchkins! lol

Don't you just wish you had the same fearless excitement for tragic weather as you did when you were a kid?

Sorry for your stress, but chin up, babe, and here's a hug and kiss to bring you through.

 :tighthug:
