Obama did better than his first failure. Whoever you favored you will declare the winner.

Both camps are going to be happy with their respective candidates performances. There were ample examples of differences in philosophy.

I didn't watch the debate, I listened on radio so as to not be influenced by any 'theater.' Listening to the pitch and timbre of the voices Obama came across, to me anyway, as defensive and petulant. Romney was considerably more consistent and controlled in his responses and presentations.

But I'm an unabashed conservative so my observations are obviously prejudiced. We'll know how this went in four days, in the polls.

Obama always sounds mildly irritated in these things. Mitt's smirk was a bit painful to watch, almost a grimace at times.
 
From a stand point of 'playing to the base' I'm calling this one a draw.

From the standpoint of the 'undecided' and the independents we aren't going to know for four days.

The problem for Obama is that a 'draw' just isn't good enough. He had to be a clear winner here to stop Romney's momentum, he didn't do that.
