This is a farming term. we are simply being farmed like live stock - see the job title ''Human resources director'' most firms have one.

In farming there is a structure, land owner , land manager, farm owner, farm tennant, cow herd / shepard, farm labourer.live stock - these equate to position in society in the context of 'herd immunity. (see alos foot and mouth outbreak, DEFRA response)

in the above model the state is often the land owner - royalty etc since potentialy everything belongs to the monarch (or their eqivaliant) the establishment will fawn to the elite seeking to be part of it.

the farm owner will want to be part of the elite, the elite will exploit that 'desire' and let the farm owner play along - with in the rules - which the establishment set and impose.

the farm tenant also wants to join the establishment elite - but cant do so, but will do the bidding of those whom they assume to in control and therefore who can help them and protect them (think the lawyers, police and judges - part of the establishment tool kit)

Shepard / cow herd employed by people who are basically establishment wanna be's - think local councillors etc. there job is to keep us, the herd, in line, we are seen as a resource to be exploited then discarded.

so in short the herd is exposed so that it bears the brunt of this,whilst still serving the elite who are not exposed - becoming guinea pigs - but guinea pigs at least have an exercise wheel and are well fed.

The brunt will be borne by those who cannot work from home on a laptop or phone - think those who clean the shopping malls etc etc.

the herd will either be then destroyed (foot and mouth DEFRA) or potentially see the herd immunity concept for what it is - bollocks, but brain fart Johnson rates it as a concept which protects the ruling elite and the establishment.

(they are the sort probably best kept away from hot fat and sharp knives)
