I live up over the river on the back side of a hill and have evaded the tornados that shot over and cleared trails when alicia come through. Thanks blue, when the big feeze came and power was out for 8 days, me and temple bought a generator <grin> she has it <bigrin> but ...I'm an old war dog and roughing it is my middle name.

I made a journey into town for supplies and it is SAD the gas is depleted and gone, no water to be found anywhere and the grocery store was so full you could not pull into the parking lot.

There was literally people parked on the side of the road waiting for the roads to clear, houston highways are "both sides open to out bound traffic only, 8 Million people fleeing houston and galveston going right by my neck of the woods. My neighbors have left. I told them I would watch there cattle and horses for them. I can't believe people would leave them to fend for them selves but they are not the only ones. My Mother called and the Red Bar ranch opened their gates to allow their livestock to roam the ranch freely in hopes that they make it. I guess I know what my job will be when this BITCH hits. My friends were carring pistols today cause they had gas cans with gas stolen from their garage, they live close to the highway, they couldn't find my house <grin> but it has come down to people taking from others and honor went out the window for many. Generators are now 3,500.00$ when two days ago they were 700.00 and they are stolen fast as they are bought if left at a parking lot and seen. all advisories state keep a family member with your belongings. But even that has shown to be deadly.

I am sure most of you saw the elderly bus blew up killing 12 evacuess, headed to dallas and burned many more.
