When making microwave popcorn, check to make sure that you put it in for 4:00 not 40:00. And if the washing machine happens to beep signaling that it's at the end of of it's cycle, don't go change the laundry while the microwave is still running.

However, as an unexpected bonus, I did discover that my smoke alarms work very well and that ADT and my local fire department are very efficient.

Do wait until dark when burning out hornet nests.

Do wear protective clothing like high boots with long pants tucked in and a big hat.

If you are female, it might be better not to wear your nightgown.

It is better not to use gasoline to soak the nest if it is built against the peak of the roof of your house.

It is a good idea to use a very long pole with rags wired to one end to light the nest.

It would have been a good idea to connect the water hose before going farther with the lighting part.

Stop and make sure that the todler is out ot the house when you hear the fire siren after you have lit the nest.
