is there a way to turn off the new corner ads that pop up in the lower right hand corner?

is screwing up everything on the forum for me, having a lot of issues just simply trying to type and post

If you use Firefox, you can install the NoScript addon which will block 90% of those annoyances. You simply allow the scripts necessary for sites you frequent or want to view.

I use Opera and I never even had a hint of pop-ups.

I use Firefox and have popups blocked so no popups for me.

Ad Block Plus in Firefox is the way to go, definitely. Not seen an ad in years.

If you are running a PC I suggest you have a rogue adware/spyware installed. There should be zero advertising associated with Literotica - no pop-ups at all.

You could try any of the following or indeed all of them
Ad-aware
http://www.lavasoft.com/products/ad_aware_free.php

Spybot
http://www.safer-networking.org/mirrors/

Malwarebytes
http://www.malwarebytes.org/

the free versions of these will work just fine. After installing the programs and making sure they have the latest updates, if you know how it would be best to run them in Safe Mode. A quick search in Google for "safe mode" "windows 7" or whatever OS you have will tell you how.

If you have a good antivirus installed - not really necessary to leave these installed. There is the potential for their on-going protection to slow your computer down.

Now I have written this you will no doubt see a flood of other similar suggestions - and they will probably be equally relevant.
