If an example might help, Haldir, consider this: I knew a man, several years ago, who used to have it all. He had played for the Cincinnati Reds as shortstop in the late eighties and early nineties before alcoholism finally ruined his game. By the time I knew him, he had fallen so low that washing dishes at a seafood restaurant was the only job he could get, and women avoided him like the plague.
We all have our vices, but sometimes we let them get out of hand. You obviously know this, since you went sober before. But you really don't want to sacrifice your life for the sake of an addiction, do you?
You're stronger than that. You know you are.
