Hi ppl...

i come here lots but just veiw mostly....but i have a problem.

I am 18 and recently found while masterbating that i have a small firm lump on the side of my penis. It doesnt seem to be attached to anything just floating under the skin but i cant be sure.

Its only shown up after me and my gf split and i have been masterbating instead of getting the real thing. Could it be related some how?

Im a bit worried that it could be cancer or something but am confident that its just a lump that will pass with a little time. Im a little embarrested to go to the doctors because its only visable when im erect and thats an uncomfortable thought to expose myself like that to a person i dont know or trust.

Lumps where they shouldn't be are NOT something to be casual or blase about. If you need to, wear a mask or bag over your head to hide the blush, but see a doctor.

Sometimes fat deposits end up roaming through the body. They often feel like a lump that doesn't feel too attached to anything (like you described). With time, they move on. I think though that it is a wise idea to go see a doctor just to make sure it isn't anything more serious and to alleviate any fears that you have. It may be embarassing, but I bet you'll feel better when it's over.

Whichever doctor you go see will have already seen a LOT of erect penises before he gets to yours. Docs don't attach much emotional content to the body parts they see, you know, even if you do.

You need to go see the doc about this. Anything unusual on your body should be looked at. This unusual thing just happens to be on your penis. Go get it checked out.

Unfortunately, babes, cancer doesn't really give a flying fuck what age a person is when it settles in to grow sometimes malignantly out-of-control and bad-apple cells to replace your good and orderly ones. Cancer strikes young people, too. My 12 year old daughter had a very small skin cancer taken off her forehead last year. If we hadn't noticed there was that weird bump there and gone in to see the doc, it might have been far worse then it was.

Again, your doc won't care that it's your penis on display. He's seen a bunch of them already. To the doc, your penis is just like my arm or someone else's tongue; just another body part that you have a worry about.

Go see your doc and get it looked at so you can stop worrying. It's probably nothing at all but a little fat blob migration, like curvacious said. Won't it be good to know that?

Yes...even though you're only 18, you can get cancer.

No one would have thought a teenager would have been diagnosed with cirrhosis of the liver at 17 but my sister was.

Lumps are nothing to sneeze at. Get to a doctor yesterday. Better safe than sorry.

Not that you shouldn't get to a doctor post-haste, but honestly, there's no need to panic. Statistics indicate that the chances of you having cancer are extremely small. Yes, it's possible. No, it's not likely. It's most likely just a cyst.

Do go and see someone, though. For your own peace of mind and your physical health. That's an important part, you want to look after it
