hello

ladies...i need help.

my wife is about 5'5" and has a bum and a belly left from having two kids in quick succession (hey!! there were two people involved.....not just me!!). she hates the way she looks and even though i take her to buy sexy underwear she never gets anything cause she always says how ugly she'll look in it despite my protestations.

So what i need is recommendations of what sort of thing to buy that will flatter her and make her feel better about herself.

i thank you all in advance.

makman

ps. i am beginning to love the wealth of knowledge that can be gained from this forum.....you are all great.

Hi Makman,
Nice to meet you. I've never had children, but my weight fluctuates depending on how active I am. There are times that I feel very self-conscious about it. But I'm not sure if I've how sexy panties looked on me, as long as who ever I'm wearing them for thinks I look ok, that's good enough for me.

That said, I've got two magic words for any woman looking to feel sexy:

Victoria's Secret!!!!!!!

But....a little warning, it's really easy to charge up the Angel card!;)

hello again makman :)

how very nice that you want to do this for your wife. very special indeed!! im sure she really does look sexy in it...and doesnt have that much extra weight.

I, on the other hand, am a big woman. I used to wear cotton granny panties...they did nothing for my self esteem. But nothing else "Looked" good on a big woman, yanno? So I stopped wearing any panties. I felt very sexy doing this. But just recently I bought my first thong. I look hideous in it...truthfully. BUT I feel DAMN SEXY whenever I do wear it!! And plan to get more.

So that would be my suggestion. Maybe her reaction will be like mine. A nice thong....if not, try high cut bikinis or even those new crop undies that look like really really short low cut at the waist, shorts...

Good luck.. i think it is great that you are doing this!!

thanks jewelz for the reply.

ill take your advice and get her something sexy. maybe ill just have to go and get something without asking her. ithink its just the idea of her buying sexy stuff when people can see she is overweight is what does it. at the end of the day....shes going to take it all off isnt she?? :)

Yes! I think you hit the nail on the head. I cringe at the thought of buying something sexy cuz I know people DO think "ick, nasty"...but its in my size and well....i may be big, but i wanna feel sexy too...and yeah, my thong did not stay on long ;)

i think you should shop for her and surprise her and have a lil note attached that says that you know how she feels about not feeling sexy enough, but that you find her quite attractive and this was a small gift to let her know how much she does turn you on....or something cutsie like that lol

i will have to plant this bug in my hubby's ear LOL im sure he will do it too!

Thanks for the reply sortacurious, i somehow managed to miss it earlier so i wasnt just ignoring you and only talking to jewelz.

anyhoo......i wish it was as easy for me. my SO is very self consious and despite the fact i tell her that i find her sexy (my throbbing member being proof) she still let it go.

also....im a brit so no Victorias secrets here.....but we have got some other stuff. i did buy her a bra and panty set from La Perla once. it was 100pounds (about $170) in the sale (half price). but that is for really special occaisions.

:)

As a woman who feels her behind, tummy, and thigh were much nicer looking 20 years ago, I would try to expand your horizons regarding sexy lingerie. There is a whole lot more selection of sexy things without having to dip into the panties pool! Explore! Look around! There are some great items that can cover hips and tummy and still look gorgeous and sexy.

Try a soft, silk biased-cut gown, with spaghetti straps - and lots of lace. Feminine, the bias-cut will drape over her body, all of the "problem" areas (in her mind anyway) will be sufficiently covered, and she'll feel like a glamorous movie star. Or, try a soft, sheer baby doll. Flirty, fun - and again, the emphasis on hips and tummy is mimimized.

I'm not saying don't go the panty route entirely. But if she is uncomfortable with that part of her body, buying items that only make her feel she is showing it off, could turn her off. Rather, if you buy items that respect how she feels about herself, and she discovers how sexy and desirable she feels in them (as well as your reaction), she may be more willing to try the panty route.

There are so many wonderful, gorgeous, beautiful items of lingerie out there - and it seems the only thing most people can concentrate on is bras and panties. Look for something unique and different!
