I'm kinda itching to get a new tattoo made, and I'm hoping I can get a bit of help here.

I already have had somebody design the new tattoo for me, but unfortunately once I got a closer look at it, I can see that I miscalculated somewhat.

The design I have look like this:

http://kennl.dk/tattoo4.jpg

The dimensions I asked for was 5 cm (2 inches) high and 24,17 cm (9.5 inches) wide. But after I've looked at it, and thought it over, I've decided I want it to be half as wide, that's 12 cm (4.75 inches).

So now I'm hoping that somebody here might be helping to redesign it, using what I already have, since I like the design a lot.

Looks good. Where are you going to put it?
I think it would be great as a "bracelet".

Shyguy,

Take the concept to your tattoo artist. He or she, if they are doing their job properly, should be able to redraw it for you easily, and to fit the area that you want it. Especially if it is an anklet or a bracelet, the stencils need to be drawn a bit differently to fit the natural curves of that area, and that isn't something some random artist is going to take into consideration, so your tattooist will end up re-drawing it anyhow.

Part of getting a tattoo and finding a great tattoo artist is one that works with you to get your design exactly as you want it, and it helps the artist understand your concept better if they help you draw and finalize it rather than just walking in and saying here, i want this.

I'm wanting it on my right upper arm, below the yin/yang symbol I have there.

I plan on doing this as well. I just recently found out that the guy who did my first three tattoo's have started inking again after a break, so I'll definately go talk with him about it.

Two of the three tattoo's I have was designs I picked at the tattoo parlor, and the last was drawn for me personally. I have to say that the guy who inked me have done an excellent job, which is why I'm happy to see him back.

If anybody want to see my tattoo's, you can do so here http://tattoo.kennl.dk

Not the right size but I would just chop off the ends to make it smaller. Keep the ovals at the end if you want an bracelet otherwise skip them. To make it smaller I would scale everything down to not loose the current proportions.

And I'm with serijules on working the details out with your tattoo artist :)

Thank you! I really liked it as well, I'm lucky that I have a very good tattoo artist who are good at drawing as well.

Now I'm pondering on getting something done around my ying/yang tattoo! ;)

You've already gotten good advice. Just peeking my head in to say the design is beautiful and I think will look stunning with your yin/yang symbol. ~ Neon

Are you addicted? ;)
It looks great, though :rose:
Yes I'm a bit addicted, but I will admit that I definately didn't like the pain!

Oh the yin/yang tattoo is still nothing else, it's just a thought what I would like to get reworked in the future

lovely, thanks so much for letting us in on the work being done.

ps: the place I got most of my work done at has a sign -
"It's all about the pain....the ink and rings are just souvenirs"

But that group of women are all sadists in there....

Beautiful. :rose:

But Chris comment made me smile, I agree with her.

I don't like pain, but tattoo pain is feels good, very easy to want more and more pretty pictures.

I hope I get to see that tattoo in r/l one day :)

Very nice work Shyguy - love the design! I started work on my sleeve (lower left arm) in August. I have 13 hours of ink time into it so far and believe about 4 more to finish up the background. Hoping to do this in a couple weeks (assuming I can squeeze out the $). Will post pics when its done.

I have to admit that I thoroughly enjoyed the pain which there was tons of due to the fine detailed work needing the fine small guage needle.

As I sat there and fought throug the pain, to me the worst part is when he traced the lines, the filling out with the color was more tolerable, I thought that I'm definately not a masochist!

And Shy slave, you'll get to see my tattoos when I've given you the spanking I owe you!
