Does anyone here have a good grasp of sign language that can field some questions in PM?

We are working on a story featuring a non-verbal character, whose communication style is pretty specific. I wanted to make sure our ideas translate to sign language, and if not what changes we might make that keeps the spirit of our original intent.

Once upon a time, but Auslan - the Australian version of sign language. Just to be difficult, it's different to the American version.

Plan B, then. If no one else responds, I may ask you and just call it close enough

I mean... I took three years of ASL (American) and can still communicate fairly well with those that are hearing impaired. I actually have been thinking of a way to introduce a deaf character as well. What were you thinking?

Do you want someone who knows a particular sign language (ASL I assume?) or someone who can discuss sign language as a general linguistic thing?

Happy to discuss sign language linguistics, which I know more about than actual signing (BSL and SSE).
