Help with Sig. Line

Iam very dumb when it comes to Puters~so can anyone explain to me step by step how I can put a Link to my thread and a Link to another Webside or Pic?
Where do I save it to once I click copy and how do I retrieve it from there.
Geez it all looks so complicated never had Puter Classes before I left School!
So please draw me a Map~ eek Iam dumb~ Thanks & Merry Xmas~ Fran

To put a link in your sig (or anywhere):
1) Click on User CP, then Edit Signature (on the left side of your screen)
2) Go open the link you want in a new window, right click on the address bar, and copy the address.
3) In your sig window, you'll see the editing tools in the box where you type. You want to click the little blue globe/chain icon (the 10th from the left). A box will pop up when you click it.
4) First, type in the text you want people to click on for your link. Hit OK.
5) Paste the address of the link. Click OK. The code for your link should appear in your sig. You can check it by Clicking Preview Signature under the text box.

OR, fill in the link and text here (take out the asterisk [*] after /URL though), copy, and paste the code into your sig:

Write Your Text HERE[/URL*]

To insert an image that's hosted online directly into your post or sigline:
1) Right click on the image in your browser
2) In Firefox, select "Copy Image Location" (Firefox)
In IE, select "Properties" and copy the URL/Address from the box that appears.
3) In your post/sig line/PM, either:
a) Click on the yellow and gray 'Insert Image' icon and paste the url into the dialog box that appears and hit OK.
OR
b) Type: Paste/type the URL of the image here
***If that doesn't work/the image appears as a link, the site may not allow hotlinking. You can check whether or not a site allows hotlinking by going here here. If not, you'll either have to find or put it on another site (there are tons of sites that will host your images for free and allow hotlinking), or attach it.
