What can I say, I am a virgin to posting pictures and can't figure it out. It says my files are too large, and I have no clue how to reduce the size of the picture without eliminating details.

I am willing to send to someone who is willing to resize them and send back to me. They need to be resized so they are no larger than 100KB I think it said.

OK- I have had people help me. No further need. Thanks!!!!!!!!!!

the maximum size of 800x600 pixels or 100kb.
one of the easiest programmes i have found for resizing them is the prog found at www.IrfanView.com
simple to follow instructions.

once you have the pic re-sized go to manage attachments at bottom of reply box. select browse select your resized pic, upload remember to close that window once files uploaded. back to reply window click on the submit box and pic should appear. good luck. hope this helps you .

very simple and ANYONE can do it & yes this is how I change the size of my file. Every computer has paint (start / all programs / accessories / paint

1) open up your picture in paint
2) at the top you will see the word IMAGE
3) when you pull down image then select stretch / skew
4) horizontal = 100% & vertical = 100% (change both the same example: horizontal 50 & vertical 50)
5) if you went a little too much then click edit / undo

to check the size after you changed horizontal % & vertical %
1) with the picture still open this time under IMAGE you will notice attributes

After a few times you will be doing it without even thinking about it. Trust me it is very easy.

Hope it helps..

If you use Photoshop use the Save to Web option rather than the Save As option. That way a lot of the reducing will be done for you.

I downloaded Picassa (free from Google) and I use this to resize my pics - in the "Export File" options, just select the size you want them to be, and then select the pictures you want to resize, and the program exports them to a new folder of your choice, while leaving your original in its original location, unchanged.

This is also a brilliant program for organising your pictures on your hard drive, and for some pretty nifty cropping/editing/enhancing work as well, but one caution : in the default mode, it will search your whole hard drive for all pictures and bring them all into its library, so if you have any "hidden" pics, expect them to pop up in the library! It will give you the choice of specifying where you want it to look for pictures, and you can thereby exclude any ones you know about that you don't want it to find, but if you don't do this, it will default to sucking in every single image you have stored....best to be prepared!
