Okay, here's the thing.

A friend of mine handed me a bunch of horsehair that she was going to make into a couple floggers, but doesn't have the time to do it. Actually, she's recovering from that stomach pouch surgery and can't do much at all.

What I'd like to do for her is make a flogger as a thank you gift for the Horsehair. I've looked all over the internet for instructions on making one and I cant find anything. Oh, I've found a whole bunch of Buy already made floggers. I want to make one of my own.

Can anyone help me out and point me in the right direction?

Thanks,

Got that place bookmarked, and I've E-Mailed the lady asking for help as well. However, I have yet to hear anyt reply from her. But thanks for the suggestion. I really love her Toy section.

Finally, someone has found a use for those Koosh Balls.

Horsehair is not my thing, but Ive made several for costomers.
I have a leather shop and have all the tools, but you can keep it simple and make at home.
First take a leather or heavy cloth strip about a foot long and one or two inches wide and run double sided sticky tape the entire strip.Lay your horse hair down and run several lines of stiches up and down(if it is to thick for your home machine take it to the shoemaker and they will be happy to do this for you for a few bucks).Personally I like to use a bone for horse floggers(soak bone in strong tea for a nice tone) and varnish or not.
Rubber cement the strip and the end of handle and let dry till tacky.Take your strip and wrap around the end of the bone or pvc or handle of your choice.Dont worry about looks you can thke anothe strip of lether and just glue it around the strip to make it look nice,or use leather lace to wrap the leather down.
If you want to get a little fancy look up saddle lacing for instructions, but using a bone handle leather lace just wrapped around and tied looks nice.
What I do with my hands is sometimes hard to put in words PM me anytime if you need help.

Do you have pictures of your work? I'd really like to see.

It sounds like a really nice looking flogger.
