Help with locking/closing a thread

Does anyone know how to accomplish this? Is there some way to get a hold of a moderator?

Reason is, someone recently posted in my old BDSM personal thread, without reading that I've been taken, and this bumped it back up to the top. Suddenly, I'm getting swamped by people applying again, without having even read the whole thread!

I've been using the search function for a few hours now, to no avail. I'll keep looking, but in the meantime I wanted to know if anyone here knows what I might be able to do. These guys won't take no for an answer, and I don't know what else to do.

Sorry if this is the wrong place to post this, too. I'll be glad to move it if I need to.

I don't think they would lock the thread as that does not seem to be standard practice, though given it is a Personal ad it may be different. Most places which give an option for personal ads do have some way of your withdrawing your ad if it is no longer needed, but Lit does not seem to have done that as yet as it is not one of the main focuses of the site I expect. You could PM Bluespoke or Hallowed Eve and ask them, or failing that PM Laurel and ask her if anything can be done. Failing that, you can just put anyone who is annoying you and you feel you cannot handle, on ignore, and unsubscribe to your thread on your User CP page.

Thanks so much. I'll go through each idea and see what can be done. :)

You could just edit the post and wipe it out. It doesn't delete it, but you would no longer get referals if they don't know where to find you. And, you could just change the test to

"THANKS, BUT I'M NO LONGER ON THE MARKET."

Thank you so much! This is such an easy, quick answer that I can't believe I didn't think of it! Thanks!
