i'll give you some basic info, from what i can read, you're asking about a prince albert piercing, it's usually done with a circular barbell exiting out the urethra and the skin just below the head of the penis on the bottom side of the shaft. healing time is usually about 6-8 weeks, until it is fully healed. you heal this piercing just like you do any other, sea salt soaks and restraining from sex for at least 3-4 weeks or until it's 100% pain free. if you feel pain, stop. it's that simple.

pain factor, i would say it's about a 8-9 especially if you haven't experienced other genital piercings. the pain is instant though, and after the initial piercing it's just an ache instead of an instant sharp pain.

I'll be the first one to tell you that I have no issues with anyone getting any kind of piercing. However, in reading your post, it appears that you getting this is entirely about what someone else wants as opposed to what you want. Getting a piercing, especially a genital piercing, takes a lot on your part to get it done despite others enjoying the pleasure from it later. If you do go to get this done, only get it because you want it yourself, not because someone else wants you to have it.

Also keep in mind the risks and make sure that you're going to a reputable place. There is a chance for lots of different types of diseases, as well as infection with any piercing. There is a lot of responsibility involved both before, and after getting it done.

ok, first things first...

never EVER get a piercing because someone else wants you to.
any reputable piercer will ask you this question, and if they're not 100% sure you're doing it for YOU, they won't go ahead with it.

you're talking about a prince albert - go to the association of professional piercers site and read up about it before you make a decision (and if you do decide to go and do it, look at their listings of piercers and use one of them).

pain level... on a scale of 1 to 10, it's about a 7.
it does ache for some time afterward, and penis piercings can sometimes bleed like crazy and then 'seep' blood for a few hours/days afterwards.
pissing is going to hurt for the first few days - but urine is sterile and will actually help with your healing a little.
saltwater is the best way to clean your piercing, and you will need to do this after every piss (IMPORTANT! do not make your salt solution stronger than 1/4 teaspoon salt to a full cup of boiled warm water! also, do NOT use iodised/table salt - only use pure sea salt as the iodine in table salt delays healing of tissue.)

you can resume sexual activity as soon as you feel comfortable, but make sure you wear a condom for the first 6 to 12 weeks to minimise excess movement of the jewellery.

Every one else is correct. Do some home work though as well. Prince Albert as very well discrebed is one of a few diffrent piercing u can get. Be informed. Do U want a hole in your urethra if not then how do u want it. You can position a barbell horizontally and verticly through the penis head. Do u have fore skin or not. If not u can get a peircing placed on the ridge of the penis head.
I chose not to have a piercing through my urethra I had mine placed virticly through the head of my penis just to the right of the urethra. Things to expect with this is bleeding swelling soreness.

Is there nervedamage? well yes and no your penis has thousands of nerve receptors u will be placing a needle through some of these. The amount of nerve receptors you are affecting is small and should not be of to much concern.

Comonly the womans vaginal canal is large enough to be of no concern of damaging your self or your partner with the piercing.

Not only sea salt but non scented anti-bactirial soap diluted in water. Condoms will be required for at least a month highly recomended for the entire healing time. Use non scented non lubricated condoms. Water bassed lubricants are fine to use and are highly recomended as such condoms can be very ruff. But the spermicedes, purfumes, and flavors on condoms can prolong healing and can burn!

As far as pain, Yahh, about 7/10 it hurts but more like an ache after you get it done. Personally getting your nipples pierced is alot worse.

But best advice I can give u is make it ur choice

I will address the female's perspective. he had an apadrayva (sp?)- anyway it was the one that goes through the entire head vertically and through the urethra, and oh my god does that feel good during sex!!! What about those piercings that go through the skin on the underside of the shaft? I've got my nipples pierced and a top ear piercing and I've sort of toyed with the idea of getting a bar through the skin on the underside of my dick...my girlfriend is going away for three months soon and I would consider this a perfect opportunity since she will be away and we won't have to abstain while it heals.
