Hi all,

I am in middle of writing a new story and wanted to include names of different types of women’s clothes.What are the names of these type of women's clothing? Any help naming the type of outfits in the pictures in the links attached would be greatly appreciated!

1 - That's a spaghetti dress with cutaway sides, although you could also say that it's a bikini top with a dress hem bottom added on.

2 - That's not a standard cut top, doubtful that it has an official name. You'll probably have to get creative with it. Erozetta probably said it best.

3 - That's a string halter camisole, but you'll probably have to get a little more descriptive about the specifics of the cut.

4 - Modified body stocking I guess (and an extremely tacky one at that ).

All four are examples of how men dress unicorns.

4. Looks like a mix fabric--mostly spandex and mesh romper.

5. They call this "club wear" in Atlanta. I'm gonna say it's an open front crop top, Forever 21 has a lot of this style.

6. Looks like a strappy halter bikini top. Beach wear.

7. Plain black crop top.

8. This looks like something she made herself out of a knit sweater dress. If she wore this out she'd spend all night adjusting her top and arm warmers. I hope she's not drinking because her tits will probably be all over the place.

Nah, only the last one is 'Winter Collection.' Typical Winter "slutwear" is any of these tops paired with leggings and Ugg boots. Or Timberland six-inch heeled booties, if you're classy. It's such common style of dress these days. A stroll through Georgia Tech's sorority block and I would probably see every one of these outfits.

2. Strappy halter top.

I would not call that a halter. Of course I can't see the back but that shows no signs of halter.

A halter is a piece where the front is suspended around the neck rather than by over shoulder straps. Halters characteristically show lots of open back.

5 - This looks like a halter, but the ring and sash is extra.

6 - Again, there is that cross band motif at the bottom. That's a newer style. If it has a name, it would be a newer trend. Technically it's a halter but I would be more inclined to call it a bikini top.

7 - Cropped tank - and a badly custom hack job to boot. The pants are leather (unless faux) with grommet-laced thigh slashes and grommet-laced fly.

8 - Like Seraph said. That used to be a full knit dress and was probably rather cute before it was hacked to shreds (in about 45 seconds with a pair of dull scissors). It actually still is kinda cute but rather tacky. Now it's a two-piece with arm bands. Also, as Seraph noted, if she's going dancing it'll be a high maintenance piece.

No you're right, this is a crop top for sure, it's got sleeves. There's so many I got it mixed up, but yeah, halters are one strap around the neck. Crops are basically t-shirts that show the midsection. Most everything is strappy, keyhole, v-neck or cut out these days.

Most of these are really all the same style of top to be honest, just different designs regarding straps or cut outs.

Maybe I'm judging but hey, I'm not the one who used the labels slutwear or tart couture. I'd prefer to go with skank rags. Let's just spark the imagination with some simple examples and show the guys how to dress their ladies without making them look like cheap hookers in a Mexican beach bar.

This is pretty. The link calls it a twist but I would probably call it an off-shoulder peasant wrap. This is very feminine, very pretty. It shows a ton of skin so it's sexy as fuck but Olivja still wears it with style and a touch of class.

My wardrobe is 99.9% black dresses or band t-shirts, leggings/stockings/thigh highs, and I pair these things with a variety of boots, pumps, platform sandals, wedge heels or non-slip sneakers all of which are... -GASP- black.

If y'all wanna write a pretty goth girl though, pick something out from the Killstar Clothing catalogue and pair it with Demonia Shoes!

That said, I think @pink_silk_glove did a marvelous job helping out anybody who's blind on their fashion scale with some popular non-trashy fashion choices for the modern lady.
