I plan to enter a screenplay I've written in a contest.
If the synopsis/treatment is well received, they'll put the script in front of a Hollywood producer.
So I need to make the synopsis good. Right now, I fear it's bad (I have the hardest time writing blurbs, synopses, any kind of promotional stuff--way harder than writing an actual story, IMO).
Generally, I just need to know if the synopsis gives you a clear sense of what happens in the story. Is it compelling?
Also, I know some of you are pros, having submitted plenty of your own stories to publishers for consideration, so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
If anyone's willing to take a look, send me a PM and I'll get it to you--it's less than a page/400 words (what?! Varian wrote something that's less that a million words long?!).
Eternal gratitude, degrading favors, etc., etc., shall be yours.
