I'm working on a post-Apocalyptic story and I'm trying to come up with a name for a population of survivors.
I want them to call themselves "The Forest People", and since I envision the story taking place around Puget Sound, where there happens to be a notable population of folks of Norwegian descent
, I was thinking of using the language for their name.
When I looked it up on a translation website, "forest people" translated as "skogen folk". I like the idea of calling them "the Skog" for short. Any Norwegian speakers out there who can verify if either of these terms will work? If not, do you have any suggestions?
Thank you for your help!
