I've written a story about two friends among one who is a les and loves her friend. The other, however, is confused about her sexuality, but knows that she ain't a les. So the first one keeps her mouth shut and eyerythin' is merry. However, something happens which makes the second friend realise that she's also a les. This story is more of a graphical nature, and I think that it will end up in the "horror" section, or maybe the "romance" one.
Still, it's my first story, and bieng a guy, I'm stuck on the "action" part of the story. Any ideas/help will be appreciated.

Read some of the stories in that genre. Oh and welcome to the AH, we got lots of "les"'s here.

A little curious on how you plan to mix "romance" and "horror" in a lesbian story. I would usually keep a lesbian story in the lesbian genre but make the discription or/and title to the story hint at the horror or romantic elemants. Or if the horror plays a strong part in the piece put a warning note in the begining of the story so readers are aware that something creepy will happen.

I agree with cloudy read Colleen Thomas's "How to" or any of her stories. She is one of the more talented writers here specializing in lesbian stories.

You could check my last story which was well recieved, "The Truth Shall Set You Free" which is a mushy lesbian tale. My last feedback was from a kind lady who was surprised when she realized I was a guy.

Once you have a rough draft done I would be willing to take a look at it. Just PM me if you wish and I could give you my opinion. Can't promise I will give you a great insight but maybe I can steer you in the right direction.

Hi Again, welcome to the AH!

Colly's "how to" really is worth a read, I'm sure you'd find it very beneficial.

I was kinda flumoxed by this statement from you: "This story is more of a graphical nature, and I think that it will end up in the "horror" section, or maybe the "romance" one."

It's graphic, so therefore could end up in either Erotic Horror or Romance??? Sorry, that just made me chuckle, and doesn't help with your question, at all. ;)

Ok, on a much more serious note...

When writing the "action", don't make the mistake of just focusing on what the two women are doing to each other, physically. take the reader inside their heads, if you can. It will make for a much more interesting and fulfilling read if you describe their thoughts and reactions to what is happening, particularly from the POV of the hesistant one. What made her realise she was attracted to the other woman? Was she still going through conflict, as the sex began to happen? Did there become a point where she completely let go and began to enjoy herself? That kind of thing.

Writing the actual mechanics of a lesbian scene is pretty straightforward. Just remember not to use "she" to much; replace that with their names, where possible, otherwise it can become confusing. Writing a lesbian scene isn't actually that much different from writing a M/F scene, the only difference is anatomy, and therefore, the actual acts.

All the best with it!

I was gonna back-click, but saw the word Horror.

What the hell, it's right up my alley :D

If it contains graphic, violent content, ask yourself this :

Is it sexual? Maybe non-consent/reluctance would be the better category.

If the focus of the story concentrates on the lesbian love scene, place it in that category.

Horror to me, is more than a bit of a slap across the face and pull of the hair. It's about suspense. Mystery. Vampires and werewolves. I can't see that in a lesbian story.

As for romance, you'll more than likely get a few contraversial comments because a majority ( I did say majority!! ) of those stories are M/F.

Post a snippet of the part you deem horror and let us help you decide :D

Thanks for the feedback!

Thanks for the interest, people!
As for the part about romance, it's true that majority of the stories written in this category are M/F.
But, (and that's a big but{t})
it's not impossible for a girl to love another girl! It happens, people! You see, it's all about the heart, and the heart doesn't follow any logic. It doesn't care what the other person's sex is. It's the way god meant it to be. It can't be changed. It's here, so there's no point denying it. So why not write about it?

Dear Miss ferocious,
I don't think that there's anything "controversial" about two girls loving each other. If they can have sex, why can't they have emotional bonding? Love is pure in all it's forms.

Ok, so about the Horror element.
The one who is unsure about her sexuality gets BRUTALLY raped by three guys on her first date at the age of 22. When I say brutally, I mean that it's not meant for the faint of heart.

Well, the next part is a real twister.
You see I am a "Sherlock Holmes" fan. So you'll find plenty of deja-vu kind of moments in the story.

I'll definitely read Colleen Thomas' work. Thanks!

One more thing - It is really a very sad thing that people "categorize" gays and lesbians. I, for one, know this by experience. There's a rumour going around my nieghbourhood that I'm gay, and believe it or not, people avoid me like I have the plague or something! I'm not gay, but I wouldn't have minded bieng one if I had been born that way.
Every human bieng should have the right to love and to be loved. There are NO exceptions to this rule.
