Well, definitly stay away from gay, lesbian, incest, mindcontrol, fetish, BDSM, bestiality, older/younger, or basically anything except plain vanilla man/woman sex.

Oh, but plain man/woman sex is probablly to boring, so that will get trolled to.

So, no, nothing is troll proof.

And stay away from Loving Wives, that's the kiss of death.

The best troll proofing is not to care. You get the same number, but it just dosen't matter. Other than that, camoflage and a sniper rifle come to mind.

Just can't be done. Even if you figure out how to stop people from voting you down. You will still have to deal with the stories that have artificial inflation. I always wonder about stories posted around the same time, but one has 4 times the votes. I know fans account for some of it, but nowhere near that much.

I actually enjoyed being trolled. My story had three votes in a row that combined voted nine points (three twos or something) off. I was happy that someone saw me as enough of a threat to sick their trolls on me. Even if that wasn't what happened I enjoy thinking of it that way.

Tell everyone you've been to jailing for beating your college creative writing classmates for criticizing your work... and that you're a computer genius who could easily figure out how to Hack Literotica servers, find out the ip address of the machine that gave you a zero, hack into the servers of the school or isp that hands out that ip address so you'll know who did it, and that you'll burn the house of the maggot who might or might not have given you that zero.

Or you could...

a) Come up with a brilliant title
b) Use the words 'college', 'fuck' and 'mom' in the description
c) make it a Romance
d) Include Incest and bootie sex (mom for the incest and the bootie sex becasue mom and son got a little carried away).
e) and write it so brilliantly anyone who isn't a troll will give it a 5

Seacat, I'm with Dran. The only way I know of to dissuade trolls is to NOT open yourself up to them. I'm still debating that issue myself.

Man/woman sex is probably the least likely to be trolled but don't make it anal or N/C or any other of the things Deviant mentioned. Maybe a recently married couple who enjoy vanilla sex with the lights turned off. You won't get trolled but you probably won't get much of any voting or PC or anything else that is fun to get.

Actually, I wrote a story like that, but it was about two virgins who had just gotten married and they were on their wedding night. I got three PC, all very complimentary but otherwise no voting and not much reading. I posted it in the Loving Wives category when I had the silly idea that the category was about loving wives.
