Help me, please

Hi all,

It's been a while since I've been on this board. Someone sent me a PM today to let me know that they'd found one of my pictures on another website, supposedly turned in by an ex-boyfriend.

I'm absolutely disgusted and really fucked up about this. How can I make this better?

I'm scared that my boyfriend will find out. This is the reason he stopped wanting me to post pictures on Literotica. I felt safe here, but obviously that was extremely stupid.

Please, does anyone know what legal rights I have in this instance?

Damn kiddo....that's the shits. (Nice to see you again though...wish it was under different circumstances!) And I hate to cause you more pain, but it's near damn impossible to have a photo removed from a site unless you have the means to contact the owner/operator of it directly.

I wouldn't be too worried about it though...unless your BF is one who regularly scans these sites, maybe he won't ever know about it.

(Like the photo though).

Chicklet I suggest you contact the webmaster of that site (you can find the info here http://rudysrxs.com/contact.htm) and tell him excatly what pictures it is that's yours, and ask him to remove them.

As far as I know, you retain the copyright of the pictures, and it's you who decide what will happen with them.

yea aside from what you decide to post on Lit, that website would have to have your signed permission to use that photo. Since they don't it is illegal and you could sue them if they did not remove the picture and they are U.S. based, I am pretty sure.

Maybe they'll be decent and just take it off, they probably will to avoid legal action.

Actually it's the Chinese character for "Crisis".. changed my AV though... "Crisis" is a combination of Danger and Opporunity. I used to take Chinese, I sucked at it though. One of these days I will try again. I think the bit about Crisis is in the Art of War or something... trying to remember...

Damn, I never see this stuff early enough-glad he took it off for you, but my guess is he was being more cool than worrying about a lawsuit. I've seen this shit in court before in divorce cases. Part of the reality on some of this stuff is people won't sue because of the embarrassment associated with it and these people know that. The real guy to go after is the ex if you could prove it, but then again, you have to relive the pictures, explain, etc. although in that case it would be easier. Just glad it worked out okay for you in the long run and hopefully the new guy would be understanding and see the first one for the kind of guy he is. Sometimes the law sucks and a good ass kicking is more effective.
