can someone please tell me how to use the track messages button on my user CP. For the life of me I can not figure out how to use it or what it does

It's only if you've requested a read receipt on a PM. It tracks whether the receipt has been sent.

I'm not sure. It's been a long while since I've been subjected to one. Usually it's some ass at work wanting to make sure we've all read his/her holiday greeting.

But I've gotta hit refresh every 5 seconds to see if you've read my message!!! And if you have, then I have to keep hitting refresh until I get the pop-up notification that you've sent me a message in reply. And if you haven't replied within 60 seconds after reading my message to you, which I know you've read because of the read receipt, then I have to wonder, "What's your fucking problem, bitch? Why haven't you replied?" And then I'm going to have to send you another message, getting all pissy with you for not replying when I know goddamn well that you've read my initial message, and do the whole thing all over, refreshing again and again and again until, for the love of Christ, you answer my fucking message, you whore!!!!

I mean, yeah, I hate them too.
