Well, we certainly are moving smartly into a Trumpian world, aren’t we? Someone can show frequently and consistently on the forum as racist, misogynistic, and homophobic and as constantly—and often by name—denigrating the writers here (even, from the start, on this thread) and what and how they write, but, boy, they have just one topic you like--like knowing how to parrot a few writing techniques someone else has devised--and they are just as good as gold and we’ll just overlook all of that other nasty, miniscule-minded, self-possessed, and antisocial stuff they post.

And, like I've posted, JBJ trumpets he's taking his marbles and going home at least once a year, but he just wants more attention. He's not going anywhere--he's closed all of the doors of somewhere to go in real life to getting even the level of strokes he gets here.

Bullshit on MY harping on HIM, and stick it in your ear for following the line of excusing bad behavior here just because (A) it isn't your ox being gored, and (B) part of why you are on an Internet discussion board is because backbiting like JBJ does is entertainment for you--again, as long as it's not your ox being gored. How noble of you. JBJ slips backbiting of me and a few others here in on almost every thread he posts--and most of the rest are on topics or worded with the purpose of bringing a few of us out to play with him--and to entertain folks like you who enjoy seeing other people being attacked. Both I and the others he likes to use as constant pin cushions mostly ignore the jabs. You see it otherwise, because you enjoy seeing the engagement when it happens on rare occasions.

JBJ's posting behavior is vile. You like him hanging around because you like to see others being raked over the coals. It's as simple as that. Classic Internet entertainment.

I also don't go after the Web site often--and I think when I do I'm just stating facts. I don't introduce the topic (don't even introduce threads about JBJ, and he does it about me all of the time). I do comment on it, because I'm active in the business of this Web site. You pretty much sit on the sidelines and enjoy the entertainment laid out for you; you haven't contributed a story here for over a year. I post at least one story a week. Can I hear a "doh" on the question of which one of us has reason/a right to take more interest in how well the Web site is functioning for its authors or more reason to be irritated about JBJ's constant denigration of the erotica posted here (including in the OP of this thread) and the skills of the authors writing it when he doesn't write erotica, the examples he constantly tells authors here they should be following aren't writers who have written erotica, and when fiction writing is something he himself is an "oh my gosh look at the wheel I've invented" neophyte in?

Anyway, since, beyond an opportunity to initiate another attack on the authors here, JBJ's thread is about should he go or should he stay?--and he eventually added that once deciding to go he'd be gone forever--I posit that pointing out that he's done this almost annually for years is relevant to the thread. This isn't about going anywhere. It's about getting attention. And you promptly sniveled after him--quite willing to ignore that he attacks--even in this thread--Lit. authors wholesale on the Authors Hangout. Perhaps that doesn't bother you because you don't think of yourself as a Lit. author. Perhaps you're only around to be entertained by his forum behavior.

Sure. On the question of who has more reason, doh, you do. You have like 50 gillion forum posts alone. At <1000 in 15 years, I don't tax the resources here much.

On the question of who has more right, doh, nobody does. We all pay the same subscription rate and have full access to all features.

Of course, I'm here for my own entertainment. You can have a doh for that too. I write for the same reason. To have written so many stories, you must be here for the same reason too, cuz we both make the same amount of money for posting here.

Anyway, I found some good in JBJ. I'm sure with little effort I can find some in you as well. For starters, it's admirable that someone could write hundreds of sex stories handicapped by only involving two holes instead of the full complement of three that straight writers have to work with. So there ya go. It's a start.

As for the homophobic jab, I have well over a hundred straight stories posted here, and I'm bi (and I have other accounts here with stories that only are straight). But I did foresee that you would get around to gay bashing. JBJ does it here frequently (even more so on the GB where his is even more extreme on everything). Since you enjoy him so much and give him a pass on all his bad posting behavior, it's natural the homophobia would have rubbed off on you to the extent that you feel comfortable openly resorting to it on the AH.

I guess we have to wait for the next real big argument to break out.

For years I'd been talking about what fun it would be to have one. During a pool party for my 40th BD, my wife and a friend wheeled out three commercial pastry carts full of pie shells full of meringue. She threw the first pie in my face before I or anyone else at the party knew what was happening. It escalated from there. It was an ungodly mess and the backyard had a sweetly sour stink for a couple of weeks. And the asshole guests washed off in the pool.

Good idea, though. I'd do it again.

Beyond that, I've posted already what I think of ignoring the total behavior of a poster here--especially one constantly running down the other authors here (as the OP of this thread does). I don't see any need to repeat that. The man asked a question and eventually I answered after seeing the "as long as it isn't my ox being gored" behavior of some others responding to him.

My comment that he periodically says he's leaving and that it's just to get attention remains valid, I think, and is just a statement of the history of his behavior here. I don't think he's going anywhere as long as he isn't banned until he's taken out feet first in a coffin.

No one said he couldn't write. What is being pointed out is the fact that most of his posts are berating and belittling all writers on Lit. The constant barrage of insults to any and all writers gets very old very fast. If he doesn't like the writing here, why is he here? He certainly doesn't write erotica. Very simply, the answer is "Hey, Look at me." It has been that way since day one.

He's been banned from at least three Lit forums that I know of. The only reason he's still here is the AH has a limited Moderator. You want to see the real JBJ, go visit the GB.
