Hey guys, I am looking to start two blogs pretty soon and I would like your help coming up with two really good names that will stand the test of time.

One will be a short story blog and avenue for my writing. I intend to write a mixture of fiction and non-fiction, common themes in all my writing tend to be

1) mental/emotional health
2) loss/death
3) friendship
4) sexuality
5) love
6) fear/violence
7) exotic cultures

My fiction tends to be surrealist parables or morality plays and my non-fiction is biographical, plain spoken and confessional. There is a thread on here somewhere with a lot of examples of my writing.

Some of my favorite authors are Tolkien, Jules Verne, Conan Doyle, Kipling, Camus, Ralph Ellison, Roald Dahl, HG Wells, Joe Lansdale, Heinlein and Twain.

The second blog will be a video blog of me documenting my travels. I started doing this on tumblr and I am sick of working with their limitations, so I want to just upload my videos to youtube and post them on my blog.

The blog will be presented like a travel show, where I review unique businesses and interview their owners around the world. Eventually I'd like to pitch a similar show to the Travel Network, where my team and I travel the world looking for unique start-ups to invest in, but for now just showcasing the business will be fine.

I give you all this back story and the best you can do is tell me the name of your blog?

Let's get creative, people!
Now, now...you should be nice to people, if you want them to help you.

Of course, you don't need to be nice to me, because I haven't got any ideas.

"Where business meets pleasure" but it's kind of lengthy for a TV show type of thing.
"Traveling businessmen"
"Workers around the world"
"Limitless"
"Boundless Business"

And um..."The writings of the Marquis"
"True admissions of a false prophet"
"Revealing change"
"Trivial self-important ramblings"

And that's all I've got. I'm not very good with titles.

Now we're talking!

These are all great!

Especially like "True Admissions of a False Prophet"

For the show I was thinking:

"Lawrence of America: The Adventure Capitalist"

It's a bit long though. Also I think there is another show called adventure capitalist. And yes, now you know my first name, oh well.

Just confirming that "True Admissions of a False Prophet" and "Lawrence of America: The Adventure Capitalist" are great.

"True Confessions of a False Prophet" could be good too.

Another vote for "True confessions of a false prophet"

Although I would use that as the under title (or whatever it is called in English) and go something like this:

"Marquis' box:
True confessions of a false prophet"

or

"Stories for the darker hours:
True confessions of a false prophet"

And for the travelling one:
"The New World:
Voyages at the center of unique businesses"

my 2 yen ^_^

I prefer True Confessions as well.

It actually registered that way in my head.

Yeah, I like the idea of using it as a subtitle as well, especially since I'd like a formal title that would work as a URL. I'll have to put more thought into this.

Do I really want to identify myself as a "false prophet" from get go?

I want to feel like I've outgrown that...

:(

You seem to want to write about the human experience, the human animal and the rainbow of our experiences. How about something like... Huemanity. or The Untold Human Tails... or The Humanimal Biographies.

As for unique business travelling show... How about...Uncharted Business Destinations... or Travels of a Business Artisan...

George is a good all-around all-purpose name. But if that feels somehow too mundane, consider the alternative of Hondo. People will screw up Honda in their search engines occasionally and end up in your blog.

Heck, I find this on a night when my mind is in relax and non-thinking mode?!!

Business show idea....perhaps "Business Outside the Box" or including the travel "In My Footsteps" or "Where Footsteps Lead" or simply "Footsteps". Your other one...."Evolution"or "A Moment Inside My Head". Sorry, could be better if I was more focused. :cattail:
