A few months ago I read a story on this site and I want to re-find it to favorite it now that I have an account but I'm having trouble. I was hoping maybe someone would know the title or author!
It was a straight m/f fantasy romance about a witch who lived in the countryside who could turn into a fox. She kicks it off with a guy at (I think) a farmer's market or something? And she doesn't want a relationship initially but he keeps showing up to her house trying to do things for her. He ends up gradually turning into a monster or werewolf, getting progressively more aggressive/pushy/rough as their relationship continues. The woman is estranged from her mom who is like a... master witch or whatever it's called, but her mom catches wind of this after the MC gets very ill and comes round to survey her boyfriend and warn her about her magic. I think there was something about her being the cause of his change, as well as a risk of her ending up permanently a fox if she lost control of her magic? And something about a portal at the end. I think the mom tries to attack them and they have to defeat her.
It was all one work but multiple pages long, not posted as seperate chapters, and at one point they go to a fair together. Also the mom feeds the MC soup. idk why I remember the soup.
I don't remember EXACTLY when I read it but I think I had things sorted by newest, so it would've been recent when I was on there. Maybe 6 to 8 months ago? I'm pretty sure it was tagged with werewolf or shapeshifting or something along those lines (I accidentally forgot to specify gay when searching and spent the first 2 pages confused as to when the magic shapeshifting stuff would turn it gay before realizing no I just clicked on something straight. But then I was invested.) It's been living in my head for so long and I've spent 3 days trying to find it again with no luck
