Help for a friend

Hey folks I don't have Aol and a friend that we spoke about with the asshole boyfreind of 16 months is trying to join us but she has aol and she can't get to our site here ....Is there anything she can do?

Yeah, get off AOL. No seriously...if I'm not mistaken, when you "log on" to AOL, you're on their servers someplace and you have to get a seperate connection to get on the internet itself. I don't know, I've never used it. If she's still having trouble...hmm...try to link her directly to the BBS.

I have aol and have never had a problem but she might try different search engines as Patryn suggested. What has she tried so far?

I knew Aol had some wierd shit to it....and had no clue what to tell her but I was able to IM her with the site address and she clicked on it and it worked so thanks again...

Yeah, AOL can be kind of tricky sometimes. I swear they censor what you look at sometimes. I have no proof, but the only time I have trouble is when I am trying to get here, or look at *gasp* porn!

Best thing is to have at least one backup ISP so that if AOL is busy or slow you can just close it and log on to the other one. With all the free ISPs available it isn't hard to find one that has a local number to most areas of the country. Looksmart has both free isps listed and guides in its search engine.

I had AOL in the past and it was always stranding me in its own world, leaving me online but unable to get onto the world wide web.

I have aol, all it took was for me to type in literotica.com, then go from there. There should be no other problems unless her controls are set for under 18. Then she may have trouble.

I got her on and she now has it bookmarked and she can get back on but something happened when she tried to register so this week I'm going to stop by her hosue and fix her up so she can say Hello and start posting away.....Thanks all
