Help finding a story.

Hi.

Some time ago I came across a story that really peaked my interests, but somehow managed to loose. It's about a banished god from the olympian pantheon who's forced to live a mortal life over and over again. This "curse" was placed upon him by Ares for, if I remember correctly, falling in love with a mortal woman. One thing leads to another and somehow Ares becomes a dark god, while our "hero" regains his godly powers and help protect the earth, with the help of some loyal gods, agains Ares and his demon armies.

Any help in finding this story would be greatly appriciated.
