Hello.

Poizon:

Welcome to the Editors forum. Yes, you posted your thread in the right place. if you want someone to look at your stories, make sure your private messages are on. There's instrucitons on how to do it somewhere, but i find it easier to just quote snoopercharmbrights and say:

"In addition to the sage advice given by driphoney and MistressLynn you might get a better response if you switch on your Private Messages. Go to User CP (top left of this page) then click on Edit Options (in the left hand column) and then tick Enable Private Messaging in the second box down. Make sure that the next box down (Receive Private Messages only from Buddies and Moderators) is NOT ticked. Finally click Save Changes at the bottom of that page.".

Also, you can private message editors and ask them personally to edit rather than posting your requests here (nothing wrong with this, but just another option).

You seem awful submissive in your post, almost apologetic. Remember that none of us start as good authors. This is something that has to be taught, and this teaching comes from a good editor. You are in the right place and if my experiences are any indication, you will be as welcome here as I have been. Your writing will improve over time if you want it to. The people here will help you do that, and there is no need to apologize. You haven't done anything wrong. If you like, you can send me your stories. I cannot call myself an editor (I haven't even posted my first story yet), but I can take a look, and gladly offer advice without being condescending.

What's this about learning from an editor? I had to teach myself >.<

As a Staff Sergeant (SSG) in the Army, most of what I do at my level is teach. At some point, I was a private (Shhh.... don't tell anyone). I learned everything I knew from NCOs that were where I am now professionally. Poizon has to learn from someone, and the best way for me to learn is to HAVE to teach Poizon. this forces me to learn and check everything I do before I send it to him (or her). that makes me a better author in the long run. Really, this is as much about being self-serving as it is helping him (or her) out.

I kind of adopted that Army mentality of "Teach, Coach, Mentor".

And, on a separate note, I am also offering up my services should anyone have military themed questions.

Poizon69, are you a guy or girl, because I would like to start referring to you as one or the other.....

Yes I am a man and yes I will gladly accept any help you can give me. I read your PM to me and I will send a story to as soon as I can.

We are editors, but can be also much more.

I do teach, and can share with you my experiences. But if you are working with others, all is good.

If you wish to learn to write, do not hesitate to contact me via PM. And I also offer my resume below, am open to most cats.

Enough said.
