It's snowing yet again in the Nation's Capital. they're calling for somewhere around 4-8 more inches before tomorrow's over.

We're about 33 inches over normal for snowfall this winter already.

As much as I love winter, this is just about enough, thanks.

It snowed around 2" here y'day evening/night.

It isn't so much the snow that bothers me or causes difficulties.. it's all the ice underneath and on top of it.


School was cancelled yet again, the kids have already lost their Spring Break and they've been talking about starting to have school days on Saturday's.

I can't wait to put away my sweaters and jeans and put on shorts and t-shirts.


I can't wait to feel the sun shining down on my face (with sp30 applied, Ruby. ) and smell the scent of freshly mowed grass. To race down to the park several days a week and watch the kids hit balls around, to cheer them onto wins. To see my son, nephews and niece's bathing suits soaked wet from the poolwater and to hear their squeals of delight as they slide down the water slide.




I can't wait to bitch about how hot & humid it is and how I'm sweating more than a whore in church and it's hard as hell to sleep at night. That it's like living in a constant suana and as soon as you step from the shower you already need another.

Remind me of this thread in 4 to 5 months, okay?

Snow, snow, snow. It's pretty when it's coming down, but a pain in the neck if you have to get anywhere. It seems we're getting more snow this year than many northern locales which is very unusual. I'm looking out the window now and watching it come down.

Tonight. What we're getting now is just one of two. Three inches by tonight and 1-3 more overnight - up to a foot total by the time it all ends Friday. <sighs>
