And these early morning starts are killing me. I am increasing my sugar intake in order to try and stay awake but I could so easily sleep on my desk right now...

Can I assume that all the British participants here, are off planning either to emigrate or to declare themselves independent from the shit show that is British politics right now?

Protein, not sugar. Sugar gives you that quick boost, but then you crash.
I know it doesn't look like it, but I do *know* how to eat healthy. I just don't always actually do it.

Agree. I have a very physically demanding job and I have to force myself to consume good calories early in the morning. Usually 5AMish. Coffee and breakfast sandwich with fruit. A lot of mornings I do not have time so nuts and fruit are a good alternative.

I go with oatmeal with raisins, dates and walnuts
 
Yale university’s Beinecke Rare Book & Manuscript Library has just followed me on twitter.... I find this a tiny bit disconcerting... my bio clearly states Allia is an odd alter ego that shares her bits on a sex site... what the fuckedy fuck is a rare book and manuscript library following me for?

I know it probably just a tactic.... they follow randoms... randoms follow back... but my wordpress blog updates twitter so I’ve already shared period blood art and kingshaming thoughts... my next article is supposed to be about my conflicting emotions with rape play... I am not sure Yale’s rare books library is ready for such things..

Like I said... disconcerting...

Soaked oats, blueberries, Greek yoghurt, nuts... the beauty being you can do it the night before...

I layer with blueberries, then yoghurt, then a scattering of nuts on top.. tasty, easily digested... keeps you full for ages... x

NB: Although to be fair my love started in Canada and not the USA. I would rather drive a truck than a 4 x 4 which is what I actually drive.

Yum I often have over night yogurt oats for work.

On our holidays we had different breckies for the kids.
Italian (cake)
American (pancakes)
French (croissant)
English (full English)
German (cold meats and cheese)
Plus one day we just had crunchy nut cornflakes

That's why it was the best of holidays
