incidentally I’m ok.... I buy my clothes from Cos and Arket who are as chic as you get and have no issue making clothes in my size.
What else can do get pissy about... I’m on a roll.
My Saturday morning kitchen tune as I try to decide what to have for breakfast...

Kirsty’s fans meet every year on her birthday to raise a glass to her in Soho Square
Just kiss me quick
'Cause it's my birthday
And I feel so small
I don't know why
But no I'm not too old to cry

I can cover pretty much the same radius, so no one go anywhere else in Scotland and we're covered!
My understanding of the fringe is that everyone loves it, but the locals... It really takes over everything. I've been multiple times and even helped take a show there once too so can confirm that a lot (probably the majority) of theatre companies operate the fringe at loss, but the exposure and the thrill is too much to pass up.
I really should try and go again this year... Le sigh.
As for all you fashionable ladies, I love tkmaxx except I picked up 4 things in my size to try on last week and only one of them fit. Like not even just a little tight, like plain could not get into them. I'm not nearly cool enough for half the other places mentioned.
And wowsa. That dress SL. Hawt.
Morning all.
I’m leaving Cornwall today..... a whopping 2 days dodging rain clouds. I’ve eaten 2 Cornish pasties, 1 cream tea, dinner out twice ( fresh crab, yummy). Sadly only 1 cocktail. Got my toes sandy a couple of times and did a whizz around the Tate. Oh, also bought a painting for my husbands birthday.
Off to the East Mids to drop my kid off with rellies.
Yo Random person - free chance to see Tony Slattery today...

You are a star, I may see if I can get into that. So many improv memories from the 90's...
Yep - if you go, be nice... he really did hit rock bottom. I was really excited to see he was doing a play in Birmingham a few years ago and I booked tickets but it got canned shortly before opening night with some bullshit excuse. That was when I googled him, what I found was a public appeal on his Facebook page from Richard Vranch begging him to get in touch... telling him how worried people were... he must have been pretty desperate to post publicly, x
I do need to mention that we have sticks of butter where the wrappers indicate the points of various numbers of teaspoonsOn a completely unrelated note...
Anyone hate recipes that use cups rather than weights? I have a perfectly good set of scales that saves me having to clean extra dishes for your cups, half cups, 2/3 and a bit cups.
This one also had the added niggle of asking me to measure out tbsp of melted butter. I mean, melted butter does measure nicely into tbsp, it's true, but I'm not going to melt a random amount of butter to leave myself with a random unused puddle of butter. How do I scoop block butter easily into a spoon? And added difficulty for the fact the butter was right out the fridge because it was a spur of the moment type baking scenario.
Perhaps I'm doing Saturdays wrong. But hey, there's cake!
LOL... sometime we should switch cookbooks and see who complains the mostSee, I knew I was in the right place to moan about this. Ours have some markers of 50g I think. Damn Americans![]()

Best cookbook ever was given to my Dad when he was posted to Fort Bliss (el paso) in '52. ' A wolf in chef's clothing'.
He used it right up to his death in 1994. American measures but who cared, it was just a matter of getting the ratios right.

Perhaps you’d care to go to the Cut & Paste collage exhibition at the Scottish National Gallery of Modern art and feed back?![]()
mUnfortunately I was not able to make it but I hope he put on a good show. He was a really good comic when he was younger so anything that helps get him back on track I am fully behind.
I did however see a group called Johny and the Baptists, satirical musical comedy that was really really good to be honest. Also randomly got chatting to the lady next to me who was from North London.
However this I did get to and it was really really good. Some excellent pieces of art and some incredibly intricate layers with a focus on cubism. That was an excellent suggestion and thank you for making it. I took some slightly random images that I thought I would attach here:
