I’d put money on Jess Philips having a sense of humour. Loud mouthed, Brummie feminist... I think Jess would make a great PM - I also think she’s make a half decent drinking buddy...
I know and have known too many people working for charity who make a very good living from it!
Was she on celibrity bake off?
I like listening to her in interviews, sounds like a good socialist, hope she gets into a position she can prove she is.

Everyone’s got to eat.... but to be fair I used the word “potential”. Saying that I don’t like sweeping generalisations about any group of people. Jo Cox seemed like an honest, capable person with a true vocation and I doubt she existed in isolation. It’s just sadly we hear more about the Johnsons and Rees Moggs of the world.

Sadly very few shrinking violets enter the political frame. IMHO the current crop of politicians in Westminster are all a load of indulgent self publicists who are putting themselves before the good of their country

You are right of course, there are very good people out there, a family member being one of them.
I used to donate monthly to a couple of charities but when I found out how much the top people were making stopped, I now give the money direct to big issue sellers or people I think might need it.
Re Johnson / mogg you know that whatever they are involved with will cost somebody else money normally those without!

Aaahhh QI - those are sort after tickets. I went to Elstree once to see Would I Lie to You ( I think it was Elstree..... where do they film Bond?). I used to be registered with Applause Store for free tickets if they’re still around. Was it fun?

Ok I need a recommendation for an activity for Monday evening for a friend and myself. We have leanings towards cultural activities - art exhibitions, dance ( me), opera ( her) but equally keen on cocktails. Has anyone been to anything fantastic, unusual, different that they could recommend? All suggestions welcome.
