A kings ransom but it was kinda a birthday treat for the other half - he’s been in love with Gillian since her Mulder & Scully days...

I have signed up to a site giving the opportunity to be bum filler for the price of a booking fee at shows struggling to get bums on seats but haven’t yet managed to see anything yet... although the play about drag queens in the Iranian revolution was tempting... but I wussed out of getting across to the other side of London on my own late at night at short notice...

I have a friend who’s signed up to something similar... I can’t always do short notice but definitely worth considering.

Yeah - the best deals are short notice. When they panic that they’ll have a half full venue that evening - worth keeping an eye on tho...

I’ll PM you, my peeps aren’t currently taking new members but you can sign up and be contacted when they next admit new members. They are quite strict with the rules - publishing your free tickets on social media gets your membership pulled... not turning up when you’ve said you will gets your membership pulled... and they do ask that you support the venue by buying a drink or programme or whatever, because these really are struggling places...

freebie fun?! Is that a British thing? I am doing ok just got back from work a little while ago and finished painting some trim in a room here at home. I HATE painting fucking trim! just sayin

You must have free events? :cattail: I got tickets for a very exciting free evening - Wednesday is also a free evening but something of a change from the norm... and I haven’t decided if I’m brave enough for that one...

now you have me curious about these British free events....most of the free events I hear about come with a sales pitch...LOL BTW have you seen the TV Series The Fall starring Gillian Anderson? It ran to seasons and there was talk of a third...possibly after she did another X-files.

I thought The Fall was excellent!

I don’t know what the “ freebie fun” is either. I’m also not sure what you mean by trim but is has charming connotations on this side of the pond

My latest freebie: free admission to the village hall on Wednesday for Easter Bingo . Doors open 6.30 so it looks like a late night! (Bar and raffle tickets available on the evening).

LOL...sadly the trim I am talking about is door frames, crown molding and base. So tell me about the trim you had in mind ;)

Safe and legal... as to whether I’ll regret it, it’s a little political but does involve drinks after... although with new folk I don’t know - I don’t know if I’m brave enough for new people...
