The trellises need a few years to establish themselves but this is a very glorious spot for your lunch time sarnies... :cattail::kiss:

I expected it to be busier...

I can see these buildings from my bedroom window.

Morning all hope you are all well.

The shard is hard, the gherkin for jerkin. The city sure is full of phalluses , avert your eyes to avoid vertigo. Sometimes I miss it all but not just now.

LOL yeah re phalluses, think that says something about architects and what they are thinking.
I have a love hate relationship with London, all the hustle and bustle, agro when you don't need it, then other days when you find a new place to drink or lunch, walk and see all the new phallic shaped buildings and within two min find another building from the 16 hundreds, so diverse so energetic, so fucking busy, can drive you mad or make you fall in love. :D my wife loves all of London she only sees the good. I used to work shift and it's only when the tourists and late night revellers have gone to bed and you drive some of the rougher parts of London do you see the underbelly of London, the ones out up to no good, those looking for a victim to abuse or worse.

The beauty is the City on a Sunday, the dark side is the homeless, needle strewn underbelly of poverty, of dumping ground tower blocks like Grenfell, of loneliness of the unsuccessful Dick Whittingtons , but the bridges of the Thames reflect its timelessness as she flows beneath them.

City on a Sunday is nice, so quiet.
Would often be helping the people in the tower blocks and most were hard working people trying to make sure their children were safe and educated but facing a stereotype image that hindered them.

I've read your post a few times now and its very powerful, I take my hat off to you sir,

Now to the real world of hustle and bustle, or maybe just a trip to the dump!

Have a good one.

I will do my best. Rural life not always good: dump closed on Thurs and Fri which is always when I need to go there. Mind you the lads are great and can be bribed with custard creams for their tea break when their blind eyes are magically turned and hard-core slips into the general waste skips.

The little man will be tucked up in the land of beautiful nod, I hope you manage the same,

Thank you, Allia.

Hope your Saturday with MIL is less stressful. Is there a verb type word for ordeal?!

Buggerate, crunge, trudge. These are makeelearn words, competition time, winning word gets passed through a cider press along with its creator!
I 'm sure TLM had a great time Mr D

I imagine you’re the sort of man who would put anything through a cider press just to use it! Potato cider!

Housework day! I’m trying to blitz the flat. Cue standard Mr. D retort if “I need a maid”

Similar here. I left the Hoover under the laundry which is in a basket on top of the wardrobe which is full of newspapers, plastic bags, a food caddy and a box of polystyrene packaging wotsits. At least I emptied the dust bag last time I used it on 11th september last, just before I discovered Lit.
Everything now on hold as 6 nations coverage has just started, Doritos, beer, sausage rolls, more beer more Doritos, come on Wales.
Nice day all!

Doritos? Really? Wouldn’t have guessed it.
Nacho cheese or cool ranch?

I was hoping for a different result re Wales but I think the way they came back against England couple of weeks ago gave them the edge.
